Cindy Flannigan is the matriarch of the Flannigan team.  Formerly Cindy Richardson, she was raised in Osceola, Arkansas where she  BobnCindygraduated from Osceola High School in 1971. during  high school she was very active in Future Business Leaders of America where she served as secretary.  Cindy was also a majorette and featured twirler on the school’s marching band. In the concert band she played first chair flute and piccolo and was selected to the all region band.

Cindy wrote the Osceola High School news section of the Osceola Times where she blossomed as a writer, an avocation which she still thoroughly enjoys.

Cindy graduated as an honor student and Secretary of her senior class. During her full three years of high school, Cindy was Student Government Representative and it was during that period that she acquired a keen interest in city politics,  and eventually even working with candidates for congressional races in Mississippi County.

After high school Cindy attended Arkansas State University where she was selected as a majorette for the Indian marching band and as a musician in Concert Band.  During her freshman year she was elected to the Student Government Association where she served during her university tenure.  At ASU Cindy was also rushed and invited to join a Greek sorority.

During the summer months Cindy was a twirling instructor  for ASU majorette camps,  and ASU band camps.  Cindy obtained a bachelor of arts degree in sociology/social work with electives in the field of business; Her field experience was obtained at Geriatrics, Inc. in Jonesboro Arkansas.

Cindy met Bob Flannigan in college where they eventually became engaged.  They were married after his college graduation.

While Dr. Bob was attending school at UT College of Dentistry,  Cindy was employed with Memphis Bank and Trust in the accounting department.  Eventually she moved her employment to Skilled Nursing Care of West Memphis, Arkansas where she served as a Social Worker.

After  Robert Flannigan graduated UT College of  Dentistry he and Cindy moved to Monette, Arkansas to set up a dental practice.  Cindy divided her time between the clinic and raising two children, with her motherly instinct directing most of that time to David and Rebekah who are both grown now and serve in the Family Practice. During the years her children were growing up, Cindy was sporadically a stay at home mom,  but after the children were grown she chose to work at the office full-time.

Cindy is a registered Dental Assistant and manages the clinic’s office affairs.  She is active in First Baptist Church and has taught Sunday School, RA and GA. Cindy is a member of EHC club, a certified aerobics instructor with AFAA, and serves as a volunteer for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Her leisure activities include writing, being with family, travel and enjoying her 2 beautiful new grandchildren.
